USING THE DRIVE WITH A MAC – 47

Enhancing Performance with WD +TURBO

WD +TURBO is a utility available on the WD SmartWare VCD that you can install to

improve the performance of the My Book drive on a Mac.

To install WD +TURBO:

1. Double-click the WD SmartWare icon on the desktop.

2. Double-click the extras folder.

3. Double-click the WD +TURBO Installer icon.

4. On the WD +TURBO Driver Installer screen, click Install.

5. To accept the license agreement, click Accept.

6. A message informs you that installing the drivers requires you to restart your

computer to make them active. If you want to proceed, click Yes.
